درگاہ خواجہ معین الدین چشتی کے مراسم خصوصی میں ایک رسم یہ بھی ہے کہ اذانِ مغرب سے قبل اندورنِ گنبد جب روشنی کی جاتی ہے تو فانوسوں کو احترام کے ساتھ سر پر رکھا جاتا ہے اور یہ منقبت پڑھی جاتی ہے، یہ متحقق نہ ہوسکا کہ یہ منقبت کس کی لکھی ہوئی ہے، تذکروں میں بھی اس کا ذکر نہیں ملتا، اشعار جس قدر اعلیٰ تراکیب اور نفیس بندشوں سے مزین ہیں اور مضمون بھی ہر شعر کا جتنا بلند سطح کا حامل ہے اس سے اندازہ ہوتا ہے کہ یہ منقبت کسی عالی مرتبت شاعر کی لکھی ہوئی ہے، یہ رسم زمانۂ قدیم سے جاری ہے، اب تک یہ معلوم نہ ہوسکا کہ چراغ دان کو سرپر اٹھانے کی ابتدا درگاہ میں کب ہوئی، متوسلینِ آستانہ کو بھی نہیں معلوم لیکن اس میں کوئی شک نہیں کہ جلال الدین محمد اکبر کو خواجہ بزرگ سے بے پناہ عقیدت رہی ہے، شاید اسی زمانہ میں جب اکبر نے اپنے محلات میں چراغ کے احترام رواج دیا اور خود آگ اور سورج کے آگے تکریم کرنے لگا تب ’’الناس علی دین ملوکھم‘‘ کے مصداق درگاہ میں بھی یہ رسم چل پڑی۔
ḳhvāja-e-ḳhvājgāñ mu'īnuddīn
ashraf-e-auliyā-e-rū-e-zamīñ
O Muʿīn al-Dīn, master of all masters,
leader of all the saints who live in this world.
āftāb-e-sipahr-e-kaun-o-makāñ
bādshāh-e-sarīr-e-mulk-e-yaqīñ
You are the sun of time and space,
the king of the realm where faith has its home.
matla'e dar sifāt-e-ū guftam
dar 'ibārat buvad chu durr-e-samīñ
I tried to speak a verse in praise of you,
but my words, like pearls, could not reach your worth.
ai darat qibla-gāh-e-ahl-e-yaqīñ
bar darat mehr-o-māh sūda-jabīñ
O you whose doorway is the true centre for believers,
even the sun and the moon bow down at your gate.
zarra-e-kHāk-e-ū 'abīr-e-sarisht
qatra-e-āb-e-ū chu mā'-e-mu'īñ
Every grain of dust at your shrine carries a sweet perfume,
and every drop of its water shines clear and pure.
kHādimān-e-darat hama rizvāñ
dar safā rauza at chu ḳhuld-e-barīñ
Your servants are as pure as Rizwān,
and the beauty of your tomb is like Paradise itself.
dar jamāl-o-kamāl-e-ū che suḳhan
iiñ mubīñ buvad ba-hisn-e-hasīñ
What can be said about your beauty and perfection?
Everyone knows that you are safely guarded in a mighty fortress.
rū-e-bar dar gahat hamīñ sāyand
sad hazārāñ malik chu kHurav-chīñ
Countless angels, like great kings,
bow and press their foreheads at your threshold.
jānashīn-e-mu'īñ ḳhvāja husain
bahr-e-liqāyash ba-guft chunīñ
Khwāja Ḥusain, the successor of Khwāja Muʿīn,
said this while longing for his blessed presence:
ke shavad rañg-e-tāza kohna za-nanu
qibla-e-kHvāja muīnuddīñ
How can something old be made new again?
This is possible only in the shelter of Khwāja Muʿīn al-Dīn.
ilāhī tā buvad kHurshīd-o-māhī
charāġh-e-chishtiyāñ rā raushnā.ī
O Lord, as long as the sun and moon shine in the sky,
may the light of Chishti order continue to shine forever.
KHwaja-e-KHwajgan mu'inuddin
ashraf-e-auliya-e-ru-e-zamin
O Muʿīn al-Dīn, master of all masters,
