saqi qadahe ba-deh az aan rah
saaqī qadahe ba-deh az aañ raah
kū mast kunad qulūb-o-arvāh
O Saqi, give him a cup of wine that intoxicates both the soul and the heart.
az mastī-o-az nishāt mai-rez
dar kāsa-e-rūh-e-mā chū aqdāh
This wine is pouring with intoxication and happiness, as if the cup of our souls itself is a cup of wine.
ai murib-e-ishq naġhma kun saaz
tā raqs kunand jumla ashbāh
O musician of love, play a melody that beckons for dancing, for all the dancers are present.
bardār ze-man tū zulmat-e-hijr
az husn-e-ruḳhat chū nūr-e-asbāh
Remove the darkness of separation from me, just as the brightness of the morning is evident from your radiant face.
'ahmad' ba-dar-e-tū sar nihāda
dārad jānash ba-tū sad ilhāh
Ahmad, I have bowed my head at your doorstep, and its life depends on your mercy and grace.
