na-māñda aab dar dil-e-muflisāñ rā
ba-kun lutfe karīmāñ be-kasāñ rā
The hearts of the destitute and poor have no strength left, so O Generous One, have mercy upon the helpless and needy.
na-yābī chuuñ man-e-bechāra miskīñ
shikasta dil ba-'ālam hech jaañ rā
How helpless and powerless I am, and my broken heart has become lifeless to what extent.
na-bāshad chāra-sāz hech kaare
baġhair az lutf-e-tū be-chārgāñ rā
Except for your mercy and grace, there is no other remedy or cure for the helpless.
hama kas e'timād-e-ḳhvesh kardand
panāh-e-tust mā āvārgāñ rā
Everyone relies on themselves, but for distressed ones like us, you alone are our refuge.
chu 'ahmad' rā gadā-e-ḳhvesh ḳhvānī
dehad tāj-e-sarī har kHusruvāñ rā
Call Ahmed your beggar((metaphorically) lover), and place the crown of kings on his head.
