Like Meera, she was also a devotee of Krishna. Being an untimely widow, aroused spiritual interest in her, and having become disenchanted with the world she retired to seclusion. Bahna Bai was Tukaram's disciple. Some people also call him the disciple of Ramdas. Most of his compositions are devotional verses of Krishna.
