Profile of Shah Hussain
Originally a Kayast, Madholal's ancestors took to Islam long ago. Like Kabir, his familial profession was that of a weaver. He had a great love for a Hindu boy named Madho. Madho was also influenced by his Sufi principles. Later, ‘Lal Hussain’ was added as a suffix to Madho's name. No books of his are available, but his Kafiyas are famous with the masses.
