ahwal shud az zishti-e-a’mal tabah
ahvāl shud az zishtī-e-ā’māl tabāh
juz fazl-e-ḳhudā niist digar jā-e-panāh
har chand ki man za'īf-o-iblīs qavī ast
lā-haula-valā-quvvata-illā-billāh
I ruined myself by my own evil deeds,
Now there’s no refuge except in Thy mercy.
Though I’m weak and Satan is strong.
Yet it’s nothing, for “All power and strength lie with God”.
