az bahr-e-do roz fikr-e-duniya ghalat ast
az bahr-e-do roz fikr-e-duniyā ġhalat ast
dil bastan-e-mā'mūra-o-sahrā ġhalat ast
mānind-e-nasīm har nafas dar guzarī
iiñ hirs-o-havā-o-īñ tamannā ġhalat ast
To worry about the world for this short life is bad ;
Attachment to towns and desert is bad.
Each moment flies swiftly like the wind ;
So, this greed, avarice and ( false ) hopes are bad.

in hirs-o-hawa-o-in tamanna ghalat ast
To worry about the world for this short life is bad ;
