az bul-hawasan kaam na-yabi hargiz
az bul-havasāñ kaam na-yābī hargiz
ziiñ tā.ifa ārām na-yābī hargiz
sad saal agar jaañ ba-kanī ham-chu nagīñ
bad-nām shavī naam na-yābī hargiz
You will get nothing from the avaricious people.
And will never be let in peace by them.
For hundred years you may be whetted like a stone.
Yet you will remain ignominious and will never get a name.
