az jurm-e-fuzun yafta-am fazl-e-tura
az jurm-e-fuzūñ yāfta-am fazl-e-turā
iiñ shud sabab-e-mā'siyat-e-besh marā
har chand gunah besh karam besh-tar ast
dīdam hama jā-o-āzmūdam hama rā
Thy mercy, O God, has outweighed my sins ;
That is the only cause of my great sinfulness.
Great though my sins, Thy kindness is greater still.
That I have seen and experienced at all places.

in shud sabab-e-ma'siyat-e-besh mara

didam hama ja-o-azmudam hama ra
Thy mercy, O God, has outweighed my sins ;
