az karda-e-kHvesh munfa.il bisyāram
umrīst ke paivasta darīñ āzāram
chīze ki na-bāyad ba-shavad az man shud
bar fazl nazar ba-kun na bar kirdāram
I feel shame at my own doings ;
For long I have regretted at it.
I happened to commit what I ought not to have.
O God, look to Thy mercy and not to my deeds !
