az manzil-e-kufr tā-ba-dīñ yak-nafas ast
va ze-a.alam-e-shak tā-ba-yaqīñ yak-nafas ast
iiñ yak-nafas-e-azīz rā ḳhush mī daar
kaz hāsil-e-umr-e-mā hamīñ yak-nafas ast
A Hair, they say divides, the False and True
Yes, And a single Alif were the clue,
Could you but find it, to the Treasure-house,
And peradventure to THE MASTER too;
