bar giir za ḳhud hisāb agar bā-ḳhabarī
ki avval tū che āvurdī-o-āḳhir che barī
goī na ḳhuram baada ki mī bāyad murd
mī bāyad murd gar ḳhurī var na ḳhurī
Take account from thyself if thou art careful, and seek to know that what didst thou bring in the beginning and what thou wilt carry away; at the end thou sayest that thou wilt not drink for death will come, but. I say death will come whether thou drinkest wine or not.
