dar dahr adu misal-e-ghaflat na-buwad
dar dahr 'adū misāl-e-ghaflat na-buvad
ḳhvārī ba-tar az kHvāhish-e-rif'at na-buvad
hushiyār dam-e-pīrī sho kāḳhir-e-vaqt
hāsil digrat ba-juz nadāmat na-buvad
Negligence is a great enemy for men upon this earth ;
But if you will know the worse still, that is a wish for high position.
Stir up as you grow old, for at long last.
Nothing could remain in hand except the remorse.
