dar gosha-e-fikr sair-e-duniya kardam
dar gosha-e-fikr sair-e-duniyā kardam
az bahr-e-ḳhud ārām muhayyā kardam
har nekī-o-badī ki bīnad az jaañ ravad
iiñ vaz' za ā.īna tamāshā kardam
In my imagination I saw the whole world.
And attained peace for my own self.
Not to be moved by anything, good or bad,
I have learnt this trait from looking-glass.
dar gosha-e-fikr sair-e-duniya kardam
az bahr-e-KHud aaram muhayya kardam
har neki-o-badi ki binad az jaan rawad
in waz' za aaina tamasha kardam
In my imagination I saw the whole world.
And attained peace for my own self.
