dar rah chunan rau ki salamat na-kunand
dar raah chunāñ rau ki salāmat na-kunand
bā ḳhalq chunāñ zī ki qayāmat na-kunand
dar masjid agar ravī chunāñ rau ki turā
dar pesh na-ḳhvāhand va imāmat na-kunand
In the path seek not salutation when thou goest, live with the people in a way as they may not stand to pay respect; if thou goest to the mosque, be so as may not be placed in a forward position and be chosen as the Imam (one who conducts the Namaz).
