duniya na-shawad aaKHir-e-dam ba-tu rafiq
duniyā na-shavad āḳhir-e-dam bā-tu rafīq
dar rāh-e-ḳhudā kosh rafīq ast shafīq
ḳhvāhī ki sar-e-manzil-e-dildār rasī
guftam ba-tu ai dost hamīñ ast tarīq
The world cannot go along with yon up to the last ;
Try on the path of God, who is a kind companion.
Tf yon wish to reach the abode of the Beloved,
I tell you, O friend, that is the path leading to it.
