gar asp-o-yarāq ast-o-gar fīroza
maġhrūr ma-sho ba-daulat-e-dah-roza
az qahr-e-falak hech kase jaan na burd
imroz subū shikast va fardā kuuza
Even if thou hast a horse and glittering diamonds topaz and turquoises, be not proud of thy ten days opulence from the tyranny of the firmament nobody escapes, for today it will destroy a wine flask and tomorrow the wine flagon.
