gar muttaqīyam kaar bayār ast marā
bā sub.ha-o-zunnār che kaar ast marā
iiñ ḳhirqa-e-pashmīna ki sad fitna darūst
bāzash na kasham ba-dosh 'aar ast marā
Whether an ascetic or anything else, I’m concerned with the Beloved only;
Really I have no business with rosary or sacred thread.
This woolen cloak which conceals hundreds of evils under it,
I shall never put it on as it is disgraceful.
