ghamgin na shawi gar dil-e-resht ba-dehand
ġhamgīñ na shavī gar dil-e-resht ba-dehand
ḳhushnūd ma-shau ki pesh-e-pesht ba-dehand
gar shukr ba-īñ daulat-e-'sarmad' ba-kunī
besht ba-dehand az hama besht ba-dehand
Be not grieved if you are granted a wounded heart;
Be not happy if they bestow favours on you before all.
If you are grateful ( to God ) for this eternal wealth,
Much will be given you and before everyone else.
