har chand ki az jurm-e-fuzun ehsan ast
har chand ki az jurm-e-fuzūñ ehsān ast
dil dar ġham-o-andesha-e-īñ hairān ast
ammā che buvad ma.aal kaare ki na-shud
dar ḳhauf-o-rajā dīda-e-man giryān ast
Though His kindness is far greater than my sins,
Yet my heart feels perplexed at the volume of them.
But to what might lead the deeds that I have done ?
My eyes shed tears over such hopes and I fears.
