har ja ki shawad saqi-e-gulfam do-chaar
har jā ki shavad sāqī-e-gulfām do-chār
shukrāna-e-īñ namāz-e-avval ba-guzār
ġhāfil na shavī za nashsha-e-'ijz-o-niyāz
hushiyār ki āḳhir na kushī ranj-e-ḳhumār
Whenever you happen to meet a rose-faced Saki,
Perform at once the prayer of gratitude.
Be not neglectful of the pleasure of humility and submission,
Beware ! lest you should suffer from dizziness !
