har nek-o-bade ki hast didam hama ra
har nek-o-bade ki hast dīdam hama rā
har kHār-o-gule ki buvad chīdam hama rā
aamad ba-nazar 'ayyār-e-har kas kam-o-besh
bar sañg-e-mahak chū zar kashidam hama rā
Every good or bad that exists I have seen.
Every rose or thorn that was there I have plucked.
To me appeared the worth, more or less, of all.
As like gold I tested them on the touch-stone.
