man banda-e-’āsiyam razā-e-tū kujāst
tārīk dilam nūr-e-safā-e-tū kujāst
mā rā tū bahisht agar ba-tā’at baḳhshī
iiñ muzd buvad lutf-o-atā-e-tū kujāst
I am a sinful slave, where is Thy mercy, my mind is full of darkness, where is Thy light; if for devotion to Thy service thou givest paradise to me, it will be my wages for service, where is Thy grace.
