mehnat ba-jahan kashid bisyar dilam
mehnat ba-jahāñ kashīd bisyār dilam
har shām-o-sahar buud dar āzār dilam
nāgāh ḳhayāl-e-yār aamad ba-kanār
ziiñ bār-e-girāñ gasht subuksār dilam
My heart suffered much pain in this world ;
It has been in grief every morning and evening.
Suddenly the thought of the Beloved crossed my mind
And the heart cast off the burden and became lighter.

nagah KHayal-e-yar aamad ba-kanar
zin bar-e-giran gasht subuksar dilam
