mina-e-falak ki sang mi-barad zu
mīnā-e-falak ki sañg mī-bārad zū
dar parda-e-sulh jañg mī-bārad zū
ġhair az sapr-e-qadh gurezat na-buvad
har chand ki sañg-e-nañg mī-bārad zū
This glassy firmament which showers stones
Though seemingly peaceful is vicious at heart.
It cannot be protected against but with the shield of goblet of wine
However the stone of disgrace flies from it !
