goyand mara chu sur ba-hur KHushast
goyand marā chū suur bā-hūr ḳhushast
man mī-goyam ki āb-e-añgūr ḳhushast
iiñ naqd ba-gīr dast-e-azāñ nisya ba-shau
kāvāz-e-hu.hal shunīdan az duur ḳhushast
They say that thou wilt be happy in festivity with Hurs, in Paradise, I say, however, the liquor of the grape is more full of joy, hold fast the cash of the present and do not rely on promises (credit), for they are only pleasant to hear from a far like the music of the drum.
