chuuñ 'ishq-e-azal buud marā inshā kard
bar man za nukHust dars-e-’ishq imlā kard
vaañ gaah qurāza-e-zar qalb marā
miftāh-e-kHazā.in dar mā’nā kard
When Creative Love, on the First Day of Creation composed my being it had already, before my life began, spelt the letters of Love; and then it (Love) turned my fragment of base coin into a key for the treasury of spiritual pearls.
