raftand za raftagāñ yake nāyad baaz
tā bā tū ba-goyad az pas-e-parda-e-rāz
kārat za niyāz mī-kushāyad na-namāz
bāzīcha buvad namāz-e-be-sidq-o-niyāz
They departed and from among them not one returned, to unfold to thee the mystery of what lies behind the veil with prayers and offerings thou wilt not attain thy object (Heaven), for thy prayer without righteousness and humility is merely a fun.
