sar rishta-e-ikHtiyār bā-yār guzār
ḳhud rā za ġham-o-mehnat-e-behūda bar aar
iiñ 'umr-e-girāmī ki tamāmī havas ast
bā-yār basar ba-bur ba-ġhaflat ma-sapār
Surrender your will to the will of God,
And extricate yourself from grief and burden !
This dear life is an embodiment of passion ;
Pass it in the company of the Beloved and waste it not in idleness !
