shādī buvad az dīn-o-az duniyā hama rā
az har do najāt deh ki shādīst marā
āshufta-e-kHud ba-kun ki aanam hos ast
az parda-e-barūñ biyā-o-kHud rā ba-numā
All men feel happy over their physical and spiritual gains,
Believe me of the two, there lies my happiness.
Teach me to love Thee, that’s what I desire ;
Come out of the veil and be visible !
