He once narrated a story of a Legendary Qawwal in Pakpattan, named Rafiq Mundriwale. Reportedly he was arrogant, even at the sacred courtyard of Baba Fariduddin Ganj-e-Shakar he shouted, ‘Aaj main aisa kalam parhun'ga, jo Baba Farid ne bhi nahin sune honge.’ Some unseen force had repelled him from the Dargah compound. He became paralytic after this incident & couldn’t sing any more.

The following multiple functions of Dargah in terms of visitation to it elaborates how local culture and belief system collectively exists in a rural community, in particular, Punjab. For this purpose, an anthropological study (questionnaire/survey) was conducted to find out the result and for that two important Chishti Dargahs of the region were selected: Baba Farid Ganj Shakar and Khwaja Shamsuddin Sialvi. Both Dargahs are highly venerated and visited by the region’s community.
