Prophet Salih was a renowned prophet of the people of Thamud. He conveyed the message of monotheism to his people, but they demanded a miracle from him. Prophet Salih prayed to Allah, and, as a sign, a she-camel, along with her offspring, emerged from a mountain. Despite this miraculous event, some people continued to oppose him and raised objections. The adversaries eventually mutilated the she-camel by cutting off its legs and killed its offspring. In the wrath of ġhod, they were swiftly destroyed and annihilated.
Maulana Jami, while pointing towards the valley, states:
Darān vaadī ki Sāleh naaqa kush bood
Ba yād-e-mahmilash bā naaqa khush bood
This verse suggests that in the valley where Prophet Salih used to guide the she-camel, Maulana Jami reflects on the memories of Prophet Muhammad's she-camel, indicating that he was content with his own she-camel.
