Hazrat Yunus invited the people of the city of Nineveh to the message of monotheism, but he was not successful. Frustrated with the people, he left Nineveh. During his return, when he was on a ship, a severe storm arose. At his suggestion, the sailors threw him into the sea, where he was swallowed by a large fish. After some time, the fish vomited him out. When he emerged, he was extremely weak and unable to walk. Miraculously, there were pumpkin vines around him, providing shade and nourishment. A forest deer continued to provide him with milk.
