Profile of Abdul Hadi Kavish
Maulana Abdul Hadi Khan Kavish Rampuri's father's name was Pir Muhammad Khan, he belonged to the Pathani tribe. Qila Saifullah Khan came to Rampur from Quetta, Balochistan in 1930 for education. He got his education and made Rampur his second home. He married the daughter of Abdul Latif Khan in Rampur. Abdul Hadi Khan Kavish was one of his children. Kavish received his early education at home. Then he studied in Madrasa Matla-ul-Uloom. He graduated from Rampur High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Lucknow University and his bachelor's degree in theology from Allahabad Board, BA from Agra University and MA in Urdu from Rohail Khand University. Additionally, he also passed the Adib-e-Kamil examination from Jamia Urdu University, Aligarh. For many years he taught Arabic at Madrasa Jami-ul-Uloom and Madrasa Jamiat-ul-Maarif in Rampur. He also taught Hadith in Madrasa Matla-al-Uloom. He had great devotion to Hazrat Syed Habib Hassan and Hazrat Shah Abid Ali Khan, and had also pledged allegiance to them. Apart from these two elders, he was also affectionately devoted to Shah Wajihuddin Ahmad Khan Mujaddidi Rampuri and Shah Abdul Qadir Pili Bhiti. Kavish as not only a prominent poet but also a devout scholar and teacher of Oriental studies. He was very interested in knowledge, literature, poetry, language, and reality. He used to experiment with Naat and Ghazal. The Sufi bent in his writings is manifest. He had a heartfelt reverence to the Islamic law and love for the Prophet, which comes out innately in his works.
