مقابلے کی تو کیا لے گا یہ بے چارہ چاند

سبز خط عارضِ رنگیں پہ ترے کیا نکلے

فلک تھرا گئے جس دم ہوا یہ دل تپاں اپنا

نہ آئی لب تلک ذکرِ دہن میں گفتگو برسوں

تم جو پہلو سے اٹھے جان بھی رخصت ہوگی

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
