मुखड़ा तो कहाँ देखी थी हाँ एक झलक सी

अब तक हुए जाती है कलेजे में चमक सी

चुभते हुए देखा है न काँटा न कोई फाँस

ऐ साँस बता दे ये है काहे की खटक सी

है देखना बिजली का बुरा जोत न जल जाए

उस पर भी जो आँखें नहीं बस की तो पलक सी

कुछ और तू कहना नहीं ऐ 'आरज़ू' उन से

हाँ ये कि सता जाती है आ आ के ललक सी
