imroz shāh-e-shāhāñ mehmāñ shudast mā rā
jibrīl bā-malā.ek darbāñ shudast mā rā
Today, the king of kings has become my guest.
Gabriel (an angel) is the gatekeeper of my house, along with other angels.
dar jalva-gāh-e-vahdat kasrat kujā ba-ganjad
hijda hazār 'ālam yaksāñ shudast mā rā
In the abode of unity, there is often room for diversity, that's why eighteen thousand worlds are equal to us, meaning they are integrated within the same realm.
dar mahfil-e-gadāyāñ mursal kujā ba-ganjad
be-barg-o-be-navā.ī sāmāñ shudast mā rā
In the gathering of the destitute, where can the messenger be accommodated, while our possessions bear witness to silence and poverty.
mā kHāna-e-jahāñ rā bisyār sair kardam
ai shaikH-e-but-parastī īmāñ shudast mā rā
We have traveled extensively in the houses of the world, and now, O Sheikh! Idol worship has become our faith.
'ahmad' bahisht-o-dozakH bar 'āshiqāñ harām ast
iiñ jā razā-e-jānāñ rizvāñ shudast maarā
Ahmed paradise and hell, is forbidden on the lovers,
For the will of the Beloved has already become our contentment.
