vaz mai-e-ḳhud mast kun iiñ dil-e-nākām rā
Congratulations, O cupbearer! Rise up and advance the wine, and intoxicate the sorrowful heart with this wine, making it exhilarated and intoxicated.
dar rāh-e-ishqat agar ḳhalq malāmat kunand
lek che parvāna-e-nañg chuuñ man-e-bad-nām rā
If the world continues to criticize on the path of your love, let it do so, but how can there be shame and humiliation for me in the name of infamy?
qibla-e-man rū-e-tū ka.aba-e-man kū-e-tust
basta-am az muddatae bahr-e-tū ehrām rā
Your face is my Qibla and your abode is my Kaaba, for I have adorned myself with the pilgrim's garb for you since long.
az ātish-e-husn-e-ruḳhash soḳhta-am ai sabā
kun ḳhabar az hāl-e-man sarv-o-gul-andām rā
Oh breeze, I have burned with the warmth of his beautiful face. Inform this beloved of mine about my condition from my side.
'ahmad' agar ai sanam lā.eq-e-in.ām niist
az karam-e-ām-e-ḳhvesh ḳhaas kun iiñ aam rā
O beloved, if Ahmad is not deserving of any reward, then with your special grace, make this ordinary person extraordinary.
