Sheikh Ahmad Jam was born in Namaq in 1048.
Ahmad Jam was a renowned scholar, writer and poet of his time. He was fluent in both Arabic and Persian languages.
He was known for his queer sense of abstinence. He died in 1141 AD in Jam, that's why it's called Turbat Jam.
