Profile of Amrat Ray
He wrote verses of Bhaktiras in Marathi for the first time in the meter, 'Kutav'. In this composition, instead of rhyme, the flow of the word is imagery-evoking. Amrit Rai was a dear disciple of Madhva Muneshwar. He was a resident of Patkhara village of Buldhana district in Vidarbha. Later, he moved to Aurangabad and started living there.
