Ghafoor Shah Warsi was a resident of Patna district. He and Sir Ali Imam Barrister were both his ancestors. Akbar Allahabadi was also devoted to Ghafoor Shah Warsi. Both of them died in the same year. Ghafoor Shah Warsi used to publish many magazines on different topics of Sufism in Urdu and English languages. Over 1500 letters were addressed to Ghafoor Shah Warsi, many of them were also handwritten by Akbar Allahabadi. Unfortunately, after the Spring riots of 1946, when his important family dispersed these letters went missing as well.
