Real Name : Meer Isa
A contemporary of Aurangzeb, Miran’s real name was Mir Isa. He was the son of Islam Khan Badakhshani who had the special beneficence of Emperor Aurangzeb. The Emperor conferred the title of Himmat Khan to his father before Meeran. Mir Isa also received the same honor. He wrote under the pen-name “miran’, and passed away in 1681 AD.
