Profile of Madhav Munishvar
Being a follower of the Vaishnava-Madhava sect, his compositions are imbued with Bhakti-Ras, but some of his verses are Sufi-tinged, too. His original name was Mahadev. His father was a Vaishnava of the Madhva sect. Birth is not known but he died in Samvat 1653 while performing Kirtan.
