The eighth Mahakavi of Ashtachap, Nand Das was also called the Anuj of Tulsi Das. A disciple of Vitthaldas, he is considered to be the best Poet after Surdas in Krishna Kavidhara. Much information is not available about life. His important writings are - Ras Panchadhyayi, Anekarth Nammala, Rukmini Mangal, Anekarth Manjari, Rupamanjari, Ras Manjari, Virah Manjari etc. Bhanwar-Git is also attributed to him.
