He was the son and caliph of Shamsul-Ushshaq, the Saint Mira Ji of Bijapur. He was born in 1543, even before the time of Surdas. Burhanuddin was a serious scholar and saint like his father. He wrote several books, including 'Sukh-Suhela' and 'Irshad Naama' in beautiful verses. Irshadnama was written 81 years after Ashraf's 'Nau Sirahar'. His language is Hindi.
