Syed Amjad Hussain is an Indian writer, poet, historian, and independent researcher from Bihar whose work centres on Sufism, Islamic history, and the cultural heritage of the region. With a deep interest in preserving Bihar's intellectual and spiritual traditions, he has devoted his research and writing to documenting the lives, teachings, and historical contributions of the state's Sufi saints and scholars.

He comes from a family with a long-standing tradition of scholarship. He is the grandson of Hazrat Hafiz Dr. Syed Ashique Hussain Azizi, a respected scholar associated with the Madrasa of Khanqah Maulanagar, Lakhisarai. Inspired by this legacy, Syed Amjad Hussain has pursued historical research alongside literary writing, bringing together careful scholarship and a genuine appreciation for the region's cultural past.

He is the author of Bihar Aur Sufivad, a research-based work that examines the history and legacy of Sufism in Bihar and highlights its role in shaping the social and cultural fabric of the region. In addition to his historical writings, he is also active in Urdu poetry and prose, where his work reflects a thoughtful engagement with history, spirituality, and human experience. Through both research and literature, he continues to contribute to the understanding and preservation of Bihar's rich Sufi and literary heritage.
