Profile of Wafa Azimabadi
Born Syed Shah Khalil-ur-Rahman in 1902, he was the youngest son of Hazrat Shah Noor-ul-Rahman alias Shah Lal Azimabadi Kashmiri Kothi of Patna. He wrote under the pen-name Wafa. He did his B.A from Aligarh Muslim University and migrated to Sharafabad, Karachi in 1946, and started living there with his family. Shad Azimabadi has mentioned Wafa Azimabadi in his letters. On the demise of Shad Azimabadi, on December 6, 1927, in a large gathering, Wafa had read a Musaddas which was well received.
