Profile of Zaifi
Sheikh Dawood Zaifi is a poet of the last days of the Golconda kingdom. His two compositions 'Hidayat-e-Hindi' (1689) and 'Ishq Sadiq' (Masnavi) are available. His poetry is religiously-tinged, and at the time of writing these texts, the Muslim kingdoms of the Deccan had merged with the Mughal Empire.
