اک مضطرب اور اتنی مشکل کا سامنا ہے
بچوں کی فکر لاحق دفتر الگ پڑا ہے
اور دونوں ہی کی خدمت مقدور سے سوا ہے
آفت رسیدہ سید تنہا ہے اور خدا ہے
اے حامیانِ اردو لللہ تم کہاں ہو
اے شادؔ کے رفیقو! تم کیسے مہرباں ہو
