مغیلاں لفظ ام(ماں) او غیلاں(بھوت و جن وغیرہ) سے مل کر بنا ہے اور اس کے معنی دیووں کی ماں مانا جاتا ہے کہ مغیلاں یا ببول کے درختوں پر جن و بھوت وغیرہ رہا کرتےتھے-
